Birth Partner Skills Workshop

A practical, confidence-building workshop for you + your birth partner, blending biomechanics, rebozo and yoga-based tools for labour.

The Birth Partner Skills Workshop is a hands-on, evidence-based birth preparation workshop designed to help you feel calm, confident and supported as you approach labour and birth.

Blending biomechanics for birth, rebozo techniques, pregnancy-safe movement, breathing practices and partner support tools, this workshop focuses on what actually helps during labour — physically, emotionally and practically.

This is not about rigid birth plans or overwhelming information.


It’s about understanding your body, your baby, and how to work together during birth.

This workshop is for you if you are:

  • Pregnant and preparing for birth (ideal from 28 weeks onwards)

  • Wanting practical tools rather than just theory

  • Hoping your birth partner will feel confident and involved

  • Interested in physiological birth, biomechanics and movement

  • Looking for a calm, supportive and non-judgemental space

I always remind my clients that birth shouldn't be a process you need to “get through” — it’s something your body is designed to do, especially when given the right support.

Understanding:

  • how your pelvis moves,

  • how your baby navigates your body,

  • how movement and positioning influence labour,

  • and how your birth partner can support you,

can make a profound difference to how birth feels.

 

This workshop gives you tools to reduce fear, increase confidence, and approach birth as a team.

During this 3-hour Prepare for Birth Workshop, you’ll explore:

  • Biomechanics for Birth

  • Learn how alignment, gravity and movement create space in the pelvis and support your baby’s journey through labour.

  • Rebozo Techniques

  • Gentle, supportive techniques to release tension, improve comfort and encourage optimal positioning.

  • Birth Partner Support

  • Clear, practical guidance so your partner knows how to support you physically and emotionally throughout labour.

  • Pregnancy-Safe Movement & Yoga for Labour

  • Positions and movements for early labour, active labour and transition — so you know what to do when the time comes.

  • Breathing Techniques

  • Simple, effective breathing practices to support calm, focus and coping during contractions.

  • Evidence-Based Education

  • Clear explanations of how labour unfolds, grounded in research and physiological understanding.

  • You’ll also receive printable handouts to take home and use during labour.

I’m Laura, a pregnancy yoga teacher and doula, supporting birthing people and families through pregnancy, birth preparation and the postnatal period.
