You don't need more information. You need to feel ready.
The Supported Antenatal Course is a 6-week hybrid online & in-person immersive programme to prepare you and your birth partner for your birth, your baby, and the first weeks at home. Sessions held live in Abergavenny, with a small group and 1-1 WhatsApp doula support throughout.
STARTS 11 JUNE · LIMITED SPACES · INTRODUCTORY PRICING FOR THE FIRST GROUP
You've done the research. You've booked the class. You still feel underprepared.
You want to get educated about birth so that you can feel fully prepared for any scenario that unfolds but you’re feeling overwhelmed by all the well meaning advice. You want to avoid sitting in a draughty village hall being talked at for hours whilst your partner quietly falls asleep and you forget everything they've said as soon as you walk out the door.
You want a space where you can learn without the overwhelm.
A space where you feel confident to ask questions.
A space where you feel supported and not left to figure it out on your own.
You want you and your birth partner to feel prepared and confident in the lead up to your birth, working as a team so that when labour starts you don’t go into panic mode and all the learning goes out the window.
HERE'S WHAT I NOTICED
Traditional antenatal classes will tell you what happens during birth. They won't prepare you for it.
I kept seeing parents finish traditional antenatal classes feeling overwhelmed with information. They could explain a contraction. They could list the stages of labour. They knew, in theory, what to do with a baby. And yet they still felt anxious about the birth, full of unanswered questions, and unsure how to actually use what they'd learned as soon as birth started.
The problem isn't the content. It's the format. You can't absorb the deep, body-level preparation birth deserves in two intense Saturday sessions and a handout. You need time, repetition, support between sessions, and a community of people doing the same work alongside you.
So I made something different.
Not a course where you get talked at intensely and walk away drained. A supported experience that continues between and beyond the sessions, where the learning gets to land, where your fears get to be unpacked properly, where your birth partner has time to actually become your teammate, and where you have me on text whenever something comes up.
HELLO BY THE WAY
I'm Laura, antenatal educator, doula, yoga teacher, and a mum of three boys.
A little note from me
I remember walking into my first birth totally underprepared, uneducated and uninformed. I was totally disconnected from myself, not even understanding the sensations of labour, the system I was birthing into and how that was affecting my birth plan. At times I felt incredibly afraid and unsupported.
From that experience it taught me everything, I learned a lot and that’s why I teach antenatal education today and have created an experience that will allow you to avoid similar experiences to mine.
My why is to show up to support you through this experience so that you can walk into birth owning your experience.
Introducing my brand new 6-week immersive programme - The Supported Antenatal Course: Prepare for Birth & Prepare for Baby
A space where you will feel continually supported through your experience so that you can feel confident in any scenario that unfolds during birth and in those early first weeks with your baby.
So what does this programme look like in real life:
You’re going to join a community of other like-minded parents to be for 6 weeks where you’ll get to connect, share your experiences and not feel alone. I will be teaching you everything you need to know about birth and the early weeks via online and in person sessions making it accessible for you and your birth partner.
This isn’t surface level education, we will be delving deep on the topics, uncovering your fears, beliefs about birth as well as all the practical, emotional and mindset shifts that need to happen to ensure you are fully prepared for any scenario.
We’ll be nailing down your ultimate birth vision as well as exploring all the ways birth may unfold. If you are taken down the route of induction, csection, interventions, we’ll be exploring these in detail so you know what these scenarios look like in real life so that on the day if these are presented to you, you’re already clear on the benefits, risks and how you ultimately feel about it all so that you can make confident decisions in the moment if required.
You’ll also hear from expert guests so you don’t have to do 3 different courses all at once, this programme will cover it all.
In addition, during our time together I am so excited to offer you my 1-1 WhatsApp doula support package.
Whilst attending my 6 week programme you’re going to get me in your pocket for the ultimate supportive experience, so that nothing is left unsaid.
This will be your private space to delve deeper into your preparation, to ask me any questions. Got a question after your midwife appointment? Text me. Something doesn’t feel right? I’ve got you. That’s what makes this different. I’ll be there walking you through any decisions you need to make, signposting you to the most up to date relevant research and evidence-based information so that you can make truly informed decisions for your birth and baby.
Forget waiting for days for a midwife appointment worrying uncontrollably in between. I’ll be there to offer you support where needed.
You want to go into birth feeling ready for anything, not overwhelmed by information. Confident in your decisions and supported in your wobbles: not just in the sessions, but in all the between moments and not forgetting the wonderful community you’ll build with other mums to be and their birth partners, building connections, sharing all the highs and lows and building friendships for life so that you don’t walk into this alone.

THE SUPPORT THAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT
This isn't a 6-week course. It's a 6-week container.
The sessions are the bones. What happens between them is the magic. There are two layers of support running quietly alongside everything we cover in class:
1-1 WhatsApp doula support for the full 6 weeks
For the full duration of the course, you have me on WhatsApp. This will be your private space to delve deeper into your preparation, to ask me any questions that come up along your journey.
Got a question after a midwife appointment? Text me. Something doesn't feel right and you want a second opinion? I'm there. Worried about a result, a measurement, a comment someone made? Bring it to me before you fall down a Google rabbit hole at 2am.
I'll walk you through decisions as they come up. I'll signpost you to up-to-date evidence-based information.
I'll give you reassurance when you need it and a gentle "let's check on this" when something deserves a closer look.
For six weeks, you have a doula in your pocket.
Forget waiting for days for a midwife appointment worrying uncontrollably in between. I’ll be there to offer you reassurance and information where needed.
That’s what makes this different.
The Telegram Space - Your Group - Your Community
You will connect with your group in between sessions on Telegram.
All the topics I teach and cover will be in here, week by week with recaps and with a recording of the online sessions for you to watch back when you need to.
This is also your space to build your friendships, share the highs and lows with. Swap tips with and pass on your recomendations for everything pregnancy, birth and baby related.
Somewhere to drop the 3am question that's keeping you awake. Somewhere to share the small win when something finally clicks. Somewhere to swap birth-bag tips, hospital observations, and that "has anyone else felt this?" reassurance.
Many of the parents I meet tell me the friendships they made in their antenatal groups surprised them most. They came for the education and left with friends for life.
That's what this space is built for.

Things you might be wondering.
I'm worried I won't have time for 6 weeks of sessions.
It's 1.5 hours a week, in your evening, with your birth partner. The sessions are aimed to become part of your week of preparation and integration ready for your birth. The Telegram and WhatsApp support aims to fit around your life, not the other way round.
My birth partner isn't sure they need to come.
I get this a lot. Send them this: Week 3 is built specifically for them. By the end of it, they'll have practiced massage techniques, learned how to advocate for you with healthcare staff, and built a written birth-wishes document with you. Most partners arrive sceptical and leave saying it was the best 9 hours they spent in the whole pregnancy.
I've already booked an NHS antenatal class. Should I still do this?
NHS classes are a wonderful introduction and they're often the first time the topic gets real. This course is the depth, the support, and the continuity that the NHS sessions can't offer. Many of my parents do both and find they complement each other beautifully.
What if my birth ends up being an induction or a caesarean?
We will walk through induction, assisted birth and caesarean birth in real, practical detail so that on the day, if any of these are presented to you, you've already thought about how you feel, what you'd want, and how to hold informed choice within them. The aim isn't a particular kind of birth. The aim is a prepared one.
Where exactly are the sessions held?
All six sessions are held online and in person in Abergavenny, the address will be shared with you on booking. This is a local group for parents within reach of Abergavenny.
Do I really have to attend every session in person?
I'd love you to. This course is built around the group of 6–8 parents going deep together, week after week. The integration that happens in the room can't happen on a recording. So when you book, you're committing to being there live for the six weeks. Recordings exist as a safety net for genuine emergencies, but the value lives in the live sessions. Please only book if your June and July diaries are clear for the six course dates.
What if something genuinely unavoidable comes up?
Life happens. If you have an unavoidable conflict a hospital appointment, a family emergency let me know as soon as you can. You'll receive the recording, I'll catch you up on WhatsApp, and we'll fold you back in at the next session. The aim is full attendance; the reality is gentleness when life intervenes.
What happens after the 6 weeks?
The course closes, but the group often doesn't, this space is aimed for you to create close friends and stay connected long after.
